Beginning August 28 ...
They are simple phrases. They sound Christian—like something you might find in the Bible. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways. Author Adam Hamilton's book "Half Truths" helps us search for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés to the message and ministry of Jesus.
Pastor Alan's sermons will be supplemented by a special study group which will meet on five consecutive Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. beginning Aug. 31st. (Sign-up in the narthex.)
Our Sunday 10:00 a.m. adult study groups will also follow the sermon series by discussing and sharing thoughts about Hamilton's book.
