Yvonne Coon, Senior Pastor
Pastor Yvonne joined Hutto Discovery UMC in July 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Divinity from TCU’s Brite Divinity School. Yvonne is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church and has served as senior pastor, associate pastor, and a staff member to several United Methodist churches over the past two decades.
Yvonne is the proud mother of two adult children, Josh, and his wife, Jessi; and Nate, and “Mimi” to two precious grandchildren. Additionally, she is the Human Companion for a lovable Irish Doodle named Murphy. She is passionate about helping others know themselves as beloved children of God. She finds great joy in walking alongside and offering encouragement as people discover and embrace the depth of God’s love for them. Some of Yvonne’s favorite activities include listening to live music, working out, walking her dog, reading, and that very first cup of coffee in the morning.

Allison has been an educator for more than 22 years, 11 of them in Barrow, Alaska. Allison is a Hutto ISD teacher. She has two children, Camryn and Aiden, both attending college.
